The discussion included lot size, burial depth and what should or needs to be added to the current cemetery-by-laws. These concerns will be brought up at the annual cemetery meeting. John Burt gave information relating to the cost differences between green burials and conventional burials. Concerning the subject of a referendum for the town hall, the question on a referendum must be answered by yes or no. Even with a referendum there would still have to be a meeting of the Towns electors to approve of spending money to renovate or replace the building. The Town Hall Committee will get more complete numbers regarding costs for renovation and new before the annual town meeting, Dick Burt will get the committee together and get a schedule set up to complete the estimates. The Employee Handbook up-dating will be discussed at the February meeting.
New Business: The Quick Books software does not need to be up dated until May of this year. Town employee radios which are in the equipment are not compatible with Sawyer County’s. So in case of emergency, they could not be notified, this could include severe weather warnings or fires. Sup RZ will check into what can be done for the radios with Sawyer County. This will be discussed at the February meeting.
